Chairman of the Vietnam Bar Federation Do NgocThinh said in 2017, the citizen reception centres received 1,500 arrivals whocame to seek advice in many different fields such as land seizure, granting ofland use rights certificates, site clearance, compensation and resettlement andbenefits for national contributors. More than 70 percent of the cases relatedto land issues.

On difficulties facing lawyers while providinglegal aid, Nguyen Hong Diep, head of the central citizen board of theGovernment Inspectorate, mentioned the increase of citizens coming to thereception centres to file complaints and denunciations before each session ofthe National Assembly. Therefore, legal aid given by lawyers is considerablyuseful to them.
