Hanoi (VNA) – The sub-committee on the CommunistParty of Vietnam’s statutes for the 13th National Party Congress convened itssecond meeting in Hanoi on March 20.

Members of the sub-committee shared the viewthat draft documents to be submitted to the congress, slated for January 2021,have been compiled in a serious and scientific manner that matches real lifecircumstances.

They gave opinions on the sub-committee’s workingregulations and plans, the plan to review the implementation of the Party’sstatutes, and the draft reports reviewing the implementation of the Party’sstatutes and Party building work during the 2016-2020 period.

Politburo member Pham Minh Chinh, head of theParty Central Committee’s Organisation Commission and also the sub-committee,spoke highly of the opinions, noting that draft documents need to be preparedthoroughly so that they can fully reflect achievements in Party building.

He said the report on Party building between 2016and 2020 needs to show outstanding attainments in the fight against corruptionand wastefulness, the Party’s administrative reforms, and the enhancement ofties between the Party and the people.

Meanwhile, the report on the implementation ofthe Party’s statutes and draft revisions to the statutes needs to adhere to theParty’s principles, while also make room for reforms.

Chinh asked the sub-committee’s drafting boardto take in opinions to perfect the reports and submit them to the Party CentralCommittee as scheduled. –VNA
