Hanoi (VNA) - The Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) will provide short-term credits worth up to 500 billion VND (22.7 million USD) for the low-cost carrier VietJet Air to buy aircraft.

Under an agreement recently signed between them, MB and VietJet Air agreed to provide quality banking products and air transport services with preferential policies.

They will also jointly implement integrated technology solutions using the bank’s MB.Plus service to purchase VietJet Air’s tickets.

Luu Trung Thai, Vice Chairman of MB, expressed his hope that the cooperation will open up many opportunities for both sides to bring more convenient services to customers.

With more new aircraft thanks to the loans, VietJet Air has been expanding its domestic and international flight networks to better meet increasing travel demands.

Vietjet Air first took to the skies at the end of 2011 and now operates about 190 flights a day on 35 domestic and international routes, including to Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand and Myanmar.-VNA
