Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysian PrimeMinister Najib Razak expressed his hope that Muslims in general and thoseliving in Malaysia in particular will take the occasion of the Eid al-Fitrholiday to promote peace and unity as Prophet Muhammad said.
On his blog at NajibRazak.com, the PM said ifMuslims choose to practice hostile politics, it is possible that therelationship between Muslims and non-Muslims in the country will be worse.
According to the leader, Muslims needs toforgive each other for the sake of unity, which will inspire the spirit offorgiveness in others regardless to their beliefs and ideologies.
In the context of conflicts among Muslims allover the world, it is very difficult to say that they are winning, heunderlined.
The situation is getting worse as some outsidersregard Muslims as the source of hatred and violence despite the fact that theover-1,400-year-old religion always considers peace and unity as the bestsolution to conflict resolution, he said.
Only the great souls can forgive and so are Islamicfollowers, hence they should choose forgiveness instead of going against it forpersonal interests, he affirmed.-VNA
