KualaLumpur (VNA) – Malaysia’s Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition alliance onMarch 8 issued its election manifesto that contains bold points.

Underthe manifesto, PH commits to limiting the tenure of the Prime Minister andGovernor to two terms. Besides, the Prime Minister will no longer hold the postof Finance Minister and the number of ministers in the PM’s Office will bereduced from ten to three.

Themanifesto mentions reducing people’s burdens and cost of living, spurring asustainable economy, returning the status of Sabah and Sarawak states accordingto the Malaysia Agreement 1963, and creating a moderate and inclusive Malaysia.

Besides,the manifesto also gives five commitments and ten reforms expected to beimplemented in the first five years of leadership if the alliance wins theelection, which is scheduled to take place before July 2018.

The upcoming election is the 14th in the country.-VNA
