Hanoi (VNA) - Malaysia and Japan signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC)on Information and Communications on January 17.
Thesigning ceremony took place between Malaysian Communications and MultimediaMinister Salleh Said Keruak and visiting Japanese Minister for Internal Affairsand Communications Sanae Takaichi.
Accordingto a statement issued by the International Division under Malaysia’sCommunications and Multimedia Ministry, the MoC aimed to enhance cooperationrelated to information technology, particularly for disaster management, cyber-security,mobile digital wallet, 5G technology, and the internet of things.
Thepact also included broadcasting collaboration and the organisation of jointpractices against cyber terrorists.
Malaysiaexpected to learn from Japan’s technology and experience – for instance, thecountry’s fast information dissemination for disaster evacuation.-VNA
