The arrestees include 138 Indonesian, 14Bangladeshi, six Myanmar, five Nepalese, two Indian, and two Sri Lankancitizens.
They were captured for having no passports andlegal work permits. Some of them overstayed in Malaysia.
On March 29, Malaysia’s Immigration Departmentarrested 268 foreigners without legal documents in the “Op Ikrar” operation inDengkil, Selangor.
The department’s Director-General Mustafar Alisaid the department would show no mercy for foreigners living illegally in thecountry and would continue carrying out similar operations.-VNA
