Hanoi (VNA) - Malaysia and China plan to sign several agreements on defencecooperation following Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's visit to China, Malaysian Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu said onApril 24.
Sabu was quoted by international media as saying on the sidelines of the Moscow Conference on International Security inRussia that cooperation between his country with China will only be improved by Mahathir’s visit,after which a number of agreements on defence activitieswill be signed.
The same day, Mahathir arrived in Beijing, beginning his five-day working visitto China.
According to media reports, the PM is set to attend the second Belt and Road Forum inBeijing, and meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang, among others.-VNA
