Foreignworkers travelling to Malaysia without legal documents and workingpermits were seized in accordance with the country’s laws, he said.
Theywill be deported within seven days and the biometric system will beused to record their thumbprints so they cannot reenter the countryunder a different identity in the future, he added.
The secondphase of the raid will last until the end of this year. During the firstphase, from September 1, 2013 to January 20, 2014, Malaysian competentforces nabbed a total of 17,180 illegal immigrants.-VNA
