Kuala Lumpur (VNA) - Malaysia Airlines said on January 15 that ithas suspended taking delivery of 25 Boeing 737 MAX planes, citing the plane'sdelayed return to service since it was grounded last year following two fatalcrashes.
According to the airline, it decision was made after reviewing the productionstoppage and the delayed return to service of the 737-MAX.
The carrier had been due to take delivery of its first 737 MAX in July 2020 butlast year its chief executive said the introduction to service could slidebeyond that.
Boeing 737 MAX planes have been grounded since March 2019, after two crashes killed 346 people./.
