Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The RoyalMalaysian Police (RMP) have arrested 82 gangsters in a nationwide crackdown onorganised crime that began in late March.
The RMP onApril 10 said the arrestees include a Datuk Seri and a Datuk, noble titles ofMalaysia, and three policemen.
Along with the arrests, police also seizedweapons, cash, jewellery, property, vehicles and other valuable assets.
The campaignwas carried out after Kuala Lumpur and Selangor police secretly gatheredintelligence on organised crimes.
It wassupported by Special Taskforce on Organised Crime, Special Task Force forAnti-Vice, Gambling and Gangsterism and the Anti-Money Laundering Act team. -VNA
