Two major exhibitions on support industries opened on March 1 at the Saigon Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting 510 domestic and international exhibitors.

HCM City (VNA) – Two major exhibitions on support industries opened on March 1 at the Saigon Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting 510 domestic and international exhibitors.

The trade events which run until March 3 include the 6th International Plastics & Rubber, Technology & Materials Exhibition and Conference for Vietnam (Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2016) and the 11th International Processing, Packaging Exhibition and Conference for Vietnam (Propak Vietnam 2016).

They are expected to help local businesses improve their competitiveness and boost local support industries.

On display at the Propak 2016 are processing and packaging equipment & technologies as well as materials & accessories in different industries, such as beverage, confectionery, cosmetic & personal care and pharmaceuticals.

A series of workshops are also held as part of the event to update attendees on latest trends and innovations in processing and packaging industries, notably 3D Printing, digital manufacturing, food safety management system and removal techniques of contaminants in water used in food processing industry.

This year’s Propak Vietnam is the largest edition since the event was launched in 2005.

Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2016 features a comprehensive display of global technologies and equipment, production materials, semi-finished products, technical parts, and services for the industry.

It sees the unprecedented number of overseas enterprises from Austria, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Singapore and the UK.-VNA
