Hanoi (VNA) – Madagascar is willing to roll out redcarpet for Vietnamese businesses to make investment in the country, VietnameseHonourary Consul in Madagascar Eric Andry Ramiandrasoa told President Tran DaiQuang on December 8.

Ramiandrasoa, who is leading a trade delegation to Vietnam, said the current tripoffers a good opportunity for Madagascan businesses to study cooperationagreements with Vietnamese partners such as the military-run telecom groupViettel and the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

The recent visit to Madagascar by President Tran Dai Quang to attend the 16thFrancophone Summit has created a premise for collaboration between the twocountries’ business communities, he added.

For his part, President Quang affirmed that the Vietnamese State alwayssupports the development of equal and win-win business cooperation based onnational and international law.

Vietnam is home to over 600,000 enterprises, including numerous groups andcompanies operating effectively abroad, he noted.

The Southeast Asian country is ready to partner with Madagascan firms inagriculture, aquaculture, garment-textile, cement production, and constructionmaterials, he said.

It also boasts strength in other fields such as aviation, telecommunication,hydropower, infrastructure investment – seaport, and accommodation forlow-income earners.

Vietnam pledged to create optimal conditions for Madagascan companies to buildbilateral business partnership, he affirmed./.
