Local youngster to attend UN summit in New York

Phan Tram Anh, 21, will represent Vietnam at a United Nations Alliance of Civilisation and Education First Summer School programme in New York from June 13 to 20.
Phan Tram Anh, 21, will represent Vietnam at a United Nations Allianceof Civilisation and Education First Summer School programme in New Yorkfrom June 13 to 20.

Under the theme Youth for Change, Anh willjoin 74 other young leaders from various countries, exchanging views onglobal challenges such as diversified cultures and climate change.

Anh, a third-year student at the National Economics University, was chosen from a pool of 3,200 Vietnamese students.

"WhileI'm there I'll introduce Vietnam's rich culture heritage to people fromaround the world, and discuss gender equality and climate change withthem," Anh said.-VNA

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
