General Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President Nguyen Phu Trong (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary of the Party CentralCommittee and President Nguyen Phu Trong on January 11 sent a letter ofcongratulations to King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf on the occasion of the 50thanniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties (January 11).
In the letter, he stressed that Vietnam has alwaysprioritised the strengthening and expansion of its traditional friendship andmultifaceted cooperation with Sweden – its most important partner in NorthernEurope.
He said both countries hold a long-standing relationship andsupplementary strengths in diverse areas.
The leader expressed his belief that with great cooperationpotential and the common determination of the two countries’ leaders and peoples,Vietnam-Sweden ties will grow strongly for the sake of the prosperity of eachnation, and for peace and cooperation in the region and the world. –VNA
