Lao Deputy Prime Minister BounponeBouttanavong, who is also Chairman of the National Steering Committeefor the 4 th Census, urged surveyors, inspectors and other relevantbodies to work hard and overcome all difficulties for the surveysuccess.
The results of the census will provide animportant source of information to help the Government assess theoutcomes of the 7 th 5-year Socio-economic Development Plan between2011 and 2015 and the progress towards the targets set for theMillennium Development Goals in 2015.
