The Party, State and people of Laos will do their best to foster the special solidarity with Vietnam across every domain, Lao Vice President Bounnhang Vorachith assured Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Le Hong Anh during a meeting in Hanoi on September 3.

Vorachith, who is in Vietnam for the 70 th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), informed his host of the latest Lao developments, including Party building and preparations for the 10 th National Party Congress.

He believed that under the sound leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people would see new achievements in the country’s reforms.

Le Hong Anh underscored the significance of the 1945 August Revolution, which he said was a result of the Vietnam-Laos special solidarity and contributed to the struggle against French invaders on the Indochinese peninsula.

He updated the guest on Vietnam’s preparations for the 12 th National Party Congress, and confirmed that Vietnam will do its utmost to nurture and pass on the tradition of Vietnam-Laos special solidarity – an invaluable asset of the two Parties and nations and a factor deciding each country’s revolutionary victory – to future generations./.
