Lao officials trained with political theory in Vietnam

The Ho Chi Minh National Academy for Politics and Public Administration held a closing ceremony for an advanced course in political theory for officials of the Lao People Revolutionary Party on January 6.

During thecourse, Lao trainees were provided with the basic principles ofMarxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s Thoughts and lessons on the leadershipof the Communist Party of Vietnam in national liberation in the past andrenewal process at present.

They also learnt moreabout managerial and ruling skills and made fact-finding tours to someVietnamese localities to share experience.

Addressing the function, Associate Professor Dr. Truong Thi Thong, VicePresident of the Academy, said the trainees should continue to study andapply what they learnt and Vietnam’s experience to Laos’ situation.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year

Chinese sick sailor on vessel AMIS STAR provided with first aid
