Officials from Lao localities have visited the border central province of Nghe An ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet).

Nghe An (VNA) – Officials from Lao localities have visited the bordercentral province of Nghe An ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet).

On January18, Vice Governor of Bolykhamsay province Bulma Buchalan visited and extendedNew Year wishes to the locality.

Earlier thesame day, a working delegation led by Governor of Houaphane province Vansay Phengsummaalso arrived in the province.

Leaders ofNghe An’s localities wished that both sides would continue exchanges andcooperation to tighten bilateral friendship.

Sharing a419.5km border with Laos, Nghe An borders Xiengkhouang, Houaphane and Bolykhamsayprovinces.

Last year,Nghe An’s exports to Lao reached 6.5 million USD.

Nghe An hashelped Xiengkhouang build a cultural house and is completing procedures tobuild a hospital in the province.-VNA

Bac Lieu, Korean locality sign labour cooperation agreement

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
