Both Lao Prime Minister Thongsinh Thammavong and Chairwoman of theNational Assembly Pani Zathotou have pledged to provide favourableconditions for cooperation between Vietnamese and Lao auditing agencies.
The Lao leaders made the commitment while receivingVietnamese State Auditor General Nguyen Huu Van in Vientiane onFebruary 19. Van is leading a delegation to Laos from February18-22.
Thanking the support from the State Audit ofVietnam to Laos over the past years, the hosts described their worktogether as meaningful as both countries are undertaking nationalconstruction and development and so have many projects in need of closesupervision.
At the meetings, Van briefed the Lao leaders on outcomes of talks between the Vietnamese and Lao state audit agencies.
He expressed his pleasure with their fruitful connection over the pastyear, including the exchange of high-ranking delegations, professionaltraining and experience sharing.
The two sides will continuetheir collaboration, focusing on the organisation of auditingactivities, devising auditing plans and improving personnel management,he said.-VNA
