Lam Dong (VNA) – The firstVietnam Coffee Day will take place in Da Lat city of the Central Highlandsprovince of Lam Dong on December 9-11, announced local authorities and theVietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association.

The event will feature many products ofVietnam’s famous coffee localities nationwide. It is viewed as an opportunityfor Vietnamese localities and businesses to promote their products to domesticand international consumers, raising the values of Vietnamese goods in theinternational market.

An international conference on thedevelopment of Vietnam’s coffee sector is scheduled to be held at the event, withthe participation of representatives from many coffee producing countries and theChairman of the International Coffee Organisation (ICO).

Lam Dong boasts coffee areas of nearly150,240ha and an output of about 430,000 tonnes per year.-VNA
