The construction of a large-scale organic farm began at Dak Longcommune, Kon Plong district in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tumon April 3, the first of its kind in the locality.
The project has an investment of more than 60 billion VND (2.8million USD) invested by Kon Tum Bellest, a joint venture betweenVietnam, New Zealand and the Republic of Korea. The 100ha farm will grow beans and strawberry, with an expected annualoutput of 45 tonnes of beans and 1,200 tonnes of strawberries. All organic produce will be checked and accredited by internationalorganisations before being sold domestically or exported. The project will offer more than 2,000 jobs for local labourers.-VNA
