Tokyo (VNA)- Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam took receipt of twoEliciae MV20 ventilators manufactured by Japan’s Metran Co., Ltd at a ceremony inTokyo on April 20.
They are part of a batch of the 2,000 ordered by the Van Thinh PhatGroup and the Van Lang University as donations to the Vietnamese Government in thefight against COVID-19.
In his address at thehandover ceremony, Ambassador Nam thanked the two donors for their support and Metran’sefforts and dedication in researching and manufacturing the machines.
The Eliciae MV20 ventilators use the most advanced technology in the industry, are easy to use andenvironmentally-friendly, and meet the examination and treatment needs ofhospitals not only in big cities but also in remote areas.
Apart from funding the purchase of the 2,000 ventilators, the Van Thinh PhatGroup and the Van Lang University have also provided financial assistance for theeffective maintenance of the machines and the training of Vietnamese doctorsin their use.
Ambassador Nam, on behalf of the two donors, also presented 200,000 USD tothe Vietnamese Association in Japan to help the community overcome difficultiescaused by the pandemic./.
