Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation of Toyama prefecture ofJapan expressed wish to expand business cooperation with Vietnam at a seminarin Hanoi on December 21.

Addressing the seminar, Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerceand Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc said that along with many encouraging policiesand mechanism to attract foreign investment, Vietnam is regarded as a countrywith the most stable politics and society in Southeast Asia, winning the trustof investors.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese Government, the VCCI, and localauthorities are committed to continuously improving business and investment environment.

Toyama Governor Takakazu Ishii said that Toyama is Japan’s leadinglocality in chemicals - pharmaceuticals, electrical and support industries.

He said about 40 businesses of Toyama prefecture have invested inVietnam and the figure is hoped to increase in the future.

Toyama prefecture in Honshu Island is known for its mechanical andpharmaceutical products, electronic components as well as industrial wastetreatment technology.-VNA
