HaNam (VNA) – Ha Nam province will create favourable conditions toattract more Japanese businesses to invest in local projects, said ViceChairman of the provincial People’s Committee Truong Quoc Huy.
Duringhis working session with a business delegation from Japan’s Nagahama city onNovember 5, Huy affirmed that Ha Nam always considers Japan an important partnerin cooperation and investment attraction.
Enterprisesinvesting in Ha Nam will be supported in terms of electricity, water, workerrecruitment and security, he said.
Theprovince has earmarked Dong Van III Industrial Park, which has a favourablelocation and well-built infrastructure, for Japanese investors, the officialsaid.
Huytold his guests that Ha Nam highly evaluated Japanese companies’ investmentcapacity and cooperation, adding that Japanese firms have always observed theirinvestment commitments to the province, had good working environments and ensuredstable incomes for local workers.
HaNam is now home to 226 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with combinedregistered capital of 2.5 billion USD, including more than 70 Japanese-investedprojects worth over 800 million USD focusing on manufacturing, automobile,motorbike and electronic equipment production.
Mayorof Nagahama Fujii Yuji, head of the delegation, said two firms from Nagahama havebeen investing effectively in Ha Nam thanks to support from the localauthorities. Many other companies of Nagahama also want to study investment opportunitiesin the province, he added.
Yujicalled on the provincial authorities to continue assisting the two Nagahama businesses and create favourable conditions for other enterprises to learnabout the local investment environment as well as helping them recruithighly-skilled workers.-VNA
