The Japan- Da Nang cultural festival 2012 took place in the central city of Da Nang on April 21.
The Japan- Da Nang cultural festival 2012 took place in the central city of Da Nang on April 21.

Jointly organised by Da Nang University of Foreign Languages and theJapan International Exchange Fund, the event offered a chance forVietnamese students and lecturers to meet with Japanese experts andbusinesses operating in the city to learn more about language andculture of the two countries.

A competition on knowledge of Japan and its culture and people was held during the event.

Vietnamese students also had the opportunity to learn Japanese calligraphy and origami (the paper folding art).

Through exchanges with representatives of Japanese businesses, they were also able to look for jobs after graduation.-VNA

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
