Hanoi (VNA) – Tokyo Metro, the leading subway company in Japan, has established asubsidiary, Vietnam Tokyo Metro, to help Hanoi manage and operate its urbanrailway system.

Vietnam Tokyo Metrowill share Japanese experience in operating the project through technicalconsultations and exchanges of information and human resources between the twosides.

Metropolitan railwaylines will be the backbone of Hanoi’s sustainable development, Director ofTokyo Metro Yoshimitsu Oku said, stressing the need for the development of themeans of transport in the city.

Tokyo Metro has alsopartnered with the Japan International Cooperation Agency in the “Technicalassistance project to strengthen the regulator capacity and to establish anagency managing the operation and maintenance of Metropolitan Railway Lines inHanoi City, Vietnam”.-VNA
