Fluss made the remark in his meeting with Le Thanh Liem, ViceChairman of the HCM City People’s Committee, on July 14 to reviewactivities of the experimental demonstration project on raising dairycows using high technology in the city.
Theproject is part of the cooperation programme between MASHAV and thecity’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with a total costof 70 billon VND (3.21 million USD), one million USD of which isnon-refundable official development assistance.
The project, which aims to cut costs, increase productivity, transfertechnology and expand models, was initiated in 2011 and went intooperation in August 2013 across an area of 9.8 hectares.
HCM City is seeking international cooperation in hi-tech agricultureand has already heavily invested in its hi-tech agriculture park andbio-technology centre.-VNA
