It is the first time the expo, the largest of its kind so far inVietnam , has included aquaculture, seafood and meat processing, HoangKim Giao, Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’sHusbandry Department said, adding that the new sectors at the expo seeannual growth rates ranging from 10 to 15 percent.
The event is an opportunity for the domestic animal husbandry sector tolearn and apply advanced technology from other countries and boost theexport of their products, according to Giao.
Vietnam mainly exports piglets and honey, at a modest volume of18,000-20,000 tonnes and 15,000-20,000 tonnes, respectively, per year./.
