Can Tho (VNA) – An international agriculture trade fair kicked off on November 18 in the Mekong Delta province of Can Tho.

The event, held by the Trade Promotion Agency (under Ministry of Industry and Trade), attracted the participation of 320 domestic and foreign businesses from the Republic of Korea (RoK), India, Japan, the US, France, the UK, Germany, Singapore, among others.

They showcased their agricultural machines, equipment, materials and agro-fishery products as well as specialties of Can Tho and other Mekong Delta provinces at 450 booths.

The fair served as a channel for localities and enterprises to seek partners, said Bui Huy Son, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency.

It also helped Vietnamese firms expand market, build brand values of the agro-fishery products, thus boosting their regional and global integration progress, he added.

Conferences on trade cooperation between Vietnamese and RoK firms, banks and businesses and development in the Mekong Delta region also take place during the fair.

The fair will run through November 22 at the Can Tho Investment-Trade Promotion and Exhibition Centre.-VNA
