Jakarta (VNA)- Bank Indonesia (BI) has predicted Indonesia’s economy to increase by between5-5.4 percent in 2019, and nearly 5.5 percent in 2020.
According to BI Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti, the forecast is basedon analyses on high domestic demand and stable investment.
High consumption in Java, Sumatra, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara, among others, willboost the national economic growth, Damayanti said, adding that the countryrecorded a notable improvement in export performance.
Meanwhile, Indonesian Minister of Coordinating for Economic Affairs DarminNasution said Indonesia still ensures elements promoting domestic economicgrowth in the context of global uncertainties arising from the US-China tradewar
According to the minister, Indonesia's economy has not only grown but alsoimproved its growth quality, coupled with the national inflation rate that iscontrolled at a low level and a reduction in the poverty and unemploymentrates. -VNA
