Jakarta (VNA) – The Indonesian Governmentwill continue stepping up four cooperation programmes to develop infrastructurein 2022 as the COVID-19 pandemic is taking toll on infrastructure development.
Speaking at the B20-G20 dialoguewith global corporate executives on July 5, Indonesian Finance Minister SriMulyani Indrawati said the country will continue discussing with parties aboutthe programmes, which will promote sustainable investment in infrastructure,develop a legal framework and capital markets to improve investmentenvironment, upgrade digital infrastructure and consider relevant regulations,and improve G20’s common efforts to ensure that all economies could recoverand invest for a better future together.
Earlier, Indonesia announced strategies in its role as G20 Chair for2022. The G20 Chairmanship also allows Indonesia to pool international supportfor its priority programmes, including digitalisation, human resources development, women and youth empowerment, vaccine availability and health caresystem to mitigate pandemic risks in the future./.
