Jakarta (VNA) - Indonesian biodiesel producers are gearing up toboost exports after the European Union (EU) removed anti-dumping duties onshipments from some producers in the Southeast Asian country.
After legal proceedings at the European Court of Justice, the EU last monthremoved duties on biodiesel imports for 13 Indonesian and Argentine producersthat had been in place since 2013.
The move is set to be a boon forIndonesia, the world’s top supplier of palm oil-based biofuel.
Chairman of the Indonesia Biofuels Producer Association (APROBI), MP Tumanggorforecast Indonesia to ship around 432,000 tonnes of biodiesel to the EU thisyear, up from virtually nothing in 2017.-VNA
