Meanwhile, National Police Director of General Crimes BrigadierGeneral Herry Prastowo confirmed that the Indonesian Police (POLRI) hasdeployed 253,035 officers to secure the general elections. At the sametime, special mobile taskforces have been set up to shore up security inareas with high risks of instability such as Aceh, Maluku, Papua andPoso.
