Jakarta (VNA) – At least 30 people, including threechildren, were killed when a fire burned a matchstick factory in North Sumatra,Indonesia on June 21.
Nugroho Nurhayoto, police chief of Binjai district inLangkat regency, where the accident took place, said the victims were trappedwith no way out.
He added that they were suspected to be locked inside thefactory.
The 30 bodies have been recovered from the site and sent tothe Bhayangkara Police Hospital in Medan for autopsies.
Among the casualties, three were children who hadaccompanied their mothers to work.
The police are investigating the cause of the deadlyblaze.-VNA
