The jet clipped a pole as it taxied to the runway atBengkulu airport on Sumatra island ahead of its flight to Jakarta.
The plane's left wing was visibly damaged, forcing allpassengers to disembark and then fly to the capital aboard a differentaircraft.
A Lion Air spokesperson said all 143 passengers and sevencrew were safe, and the carrier conveyed apology to all passengers for any inconvenience,and sent a team to inspect the aircraft.
He added that the plane and the pilot have been grounded forinvestigation.
The preliminary result of the investigation will only beknown in the end of November.-VNA
