Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesia and Japan havelaunched an e-commerce website in service of storing trade data and bettersupporting the two countries’ investors.
The site will be developed into a common economic datacentre to ensure economic benefits for the two nations.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Indonesian Ambassador to Japan HeriAkhmadi said the pandemic hugely affects Indonesian and Japanese economies.Therefore, Indonesia needs to reconsider its strategy and open up a space fornew opportunities, not only in trade and investment.
Akhmadi also confirmed that new Japanese Prime MinisterYoshihide Suga will pay an official visit to Indonesia this month, giving bothsides a chance to further boost coordination in various areas, particularly ineconomy and trade.
Before the visit, the two leaders held a phone talks toreach consensus on specific programmes./.
