Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and her Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif committed to enhancing bilateral energy and trade affiliations during their talks on October 14.
During the meeting, part of Marsudi’s first working visit to Iran, they also discussed collaborating on research and sports, and witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding on policy development and diplomatic training.
The two nations established diplomatic relations in 1950. Iran is among potential non-traditional markets interested in Indonesia’s palm oil, paper and rubber.-VNA
