Jakarta (VNA) - At least four people were injured during a machete attack at achurch in Indonesian’s Yogyakarta province on February 11.
The injured included a police officer who triedto subdue the attacker in St Lidwina Bedhog Trihanggo Church, whereabout 100 churchgoers were present.
The police said the 22-year-old man used the 1-metre machete to destroy somestatues and items in the church.
The reason for the attack was not disclosed.
Churches are a common target for Islamicmilitants in Indonesia.-VNA
