Flight QZ 8501 crashed into the Java Sea on its way from Indonesia’sSurabaya to Singapore on December 28, 2014 during bad weather. All 162people on board were killed.
A multi-national rescueeffort led by the Indonesian military has recovered 106 bodies so farwith the latest bodies found on March 14. The campaign has reduced insize over the past few weeks.
S.B. Supriyadi, theBasarnas official coordinating the search effort, said all four shipsdedicated to the search mission are to be called off on March 18.
The black boxes with recorded flight data and cockpit voices werefound two weeks after the crash. However, few details of the analysis ofthe recorders have been made public.
Indonesian Minister of Transport Ignasius Jonan said the final result of the investigation will be revealed by August.-VNA
