Jakarta (VNA) – The Indonesian government has calledon Czech investors to join developing environmentally friendly masstransportation in the future capital of Nusantara.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo made the call while receiving CzechPrime Minister Petr Fiala at Bogor Presidential Palace in West Javaprovince on April 18.
Speaking at a joint press conference, Widodo lauded theinitiative of Fiala to bring a number of representatives ofCzech companies during his visit to Indonesia, which showed the commitment of theCzech government to building and strengthening cooperation with Indonesia.
For his part, Fiala welcomed Widodo’s invitation to Czech businesses to invest in Nusantara, saying that the project is really ambitious and he is lookingforward to further presentations regarding this project in the near future.
He also noted that a number of Czech companies have shown interest in takingpart in the development of Nusantara, such as providing smart and greentechnologies.
At the pressconference, Widodo also emphasised the need to accelerate the completionof negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)between Indonesia and the European Union (EU).
Launched on July18, 2016, the EU-Indonesia CEPA negotiations entered the 13th round in Bali inFebruary 2023, focusing on issues related to patents, trademarks, designs andcopyright./.
