Jakarta (VNA) – A bridge in EastJava province of Indonesia collapsed on April 17, killing at least two people.
According to the spokesman of Indonesia’s NationalDisaster Management Authority Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, three trucks and onemotorbike plunged into the river when the bridge in Tuban sub-district suddenlyfell down.
Rescuers discovered two corpses of thedrivers being trapped inside the damaged trucks, he said.
However, the spokesman did not providefurther information about the other drivers of the vehicles and the rider ofthe motorcycle.
Search and rescue operation for the victimsof the incident is underway.-VNA
