According to head of Karangesem police, the accident occurred 10 minutes after the boat carrying 35 people, including five crew members, departed from a port in the western part of Bali to Lombok's famous holiday destination Gili Trawangan island.
Injured people were transported to Denpasar hospital in Bali. The case is under investigation.
The poor management of local tourism services across Indonesia has been blamed for frequent accidents in the country.-VNA
