New Delhi (VNA) - Indian Prime MinisterNarendra Modi arrived in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta on May 29 on thefirst leg of his tour to three Southeast Asian countries.
The visit aims to enhance relations betweenIndia and the three countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
During his stay in Indonesia, PM Narendra Modiwill meet with President Joko Widodo, Indonesian senior officials and Indiancommunities in Indonesia.
The next stop in his tour is Kuala Lumpur wherehe is due to have talks with new Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.
In Singapore, PM Modi wants to boost bilateralcooperation in financial technology, skills development, urban planning andartificial intelligence.
The two countries’ leaders are expected todiscuss business opportunities and investment potential.
On June 1, PM Modi will have a meeting withSingaporean President Halimah Yacob and hold talks with PM Lee Hsien Loongbefore delivering a speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue.-VNA
