Indian coast guard ship visits Da Nang

Ship Samudra Paheredar of the Indian Coast Guard with 122 officers andcrew members on board anchored at Da Nang port on October 14,beginning its three-day official visit to Vietnam.

The visit aims to strengthen the friendship, cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the two countries’ armies.

Italso offers an opportunity for the Vietnam Maritime Police and theIndian Coast Guard to exchange experience in improving their lawenforcement at sea.

During their stay, the Indian guests planto pay a courtesy visit to the leaders of the People’s Committee ofcentral Da Nang city and visit the High Commands of the MilitaryZone 5 and the Maritime Police Zone 2.

The two sides will discuss such issues as environmental pollution prevention and search and rescue work at sea.
The Indian officers will also call at some landscapes in Da Nang , Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue.-VNA
