New Delhi (VNA) – A fortnight-long joint military exercise betweenthe Indian and Thai armies has been conducted in Himachal Pradesh State ofIndia, said an Indian defence official on July 3.
The joint exercise, named Maitree, takes place in Chamba district aimingto promote cooperation and enhance skills and experience exchange between thetwo countries’ armies.
It also helps the two armies gain a better understanding of inter-operabilityin the context of intensifying activities against insurgence and terrorism.
The drill is an annual defence cooperation event between India andThailand.-VNA
