HCM City (VNA) - A trade exchange and a chemicals and cosmetics exhibition of India opened in Ho Chi Minh City on January 7.
The two-day activity saw the participation of over 50 Indian manufacturers specialising in dye, chemicals and cosmetics.
Executive Director of the Indian Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Export Promotion Council (Chemexcil) Suhas Bharadi said that the event serves as a bridge for the two countries’ business communities to promote trade exchange.
It is also a platform for Indian enterprises operating in the field to introduce their products and production capacity to other countries, he added.
In the first 10 months of 2015, two-way trade in the field of chemicals reached 96 million USD, of which India ’s exports were 69.7 million USD, according to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
The event was co-organised by the Chemexcil and the VCCI's HCM City branch.-VNA
