Binh Phuoc (VNA) – The India-basedTata Group conducted a field trip to Binh Phuoc on April 3 and leased 200hectares of the southern province for its new solar power plant.

The plant is expected to have an annualcapacity of 100 MW.

Other firms, including Alphanam Group andthe Vietnam Electricity Group, are also eyeing the local solar energy sector.

Binh Phuoc boasts between 2,400 and 2500sunshine hours per year, with Loc Ninh and Bu Dop districts considered havingthe highest solar irradiance level.-VNA
