IBM Vietnam donates learning kits for needy children

IBM Vietnam Company on August 7 handed over 20 sets of KidSmart (Young Explorer) early learning programme worth 1.8 billion VND (84,600 USD) to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children ( NFVC ).
IBM Vietnam Company on August 7 handed over 20 sets of KidSmart(Young Explorer) early learning programme worth 1.8 billion VND (84,600USD) to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children ( NFVC ).

The sets, each of which comprises one IBM computer andthe EDMARK educational software, will be delivered to 11 social welfarecentres in the five Central Highland provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak,Dak Nong, Kon Tum and Lam Dong.

The software is designed tostimulate the children’s creativity, ability of thinking, problemsolving and community integration.

Implemented by IBMVietnam and the NFVC since 2010, the KidSmart Early LearningProgramme has benefited more than 3,600 children in 16 provinces andcities nationwide so far.

In 2013, IBM Vietnam also donated30 KidSmart sets worth nearly 2.2 billion VND ( 103,400 USD)through the Ministry of Education and Training.-VNA

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year

Chinese sick sailor on vessel AMIS STAR provided with first aid
