Hungarian parliamentarian lauds Vietnamese community’s position

The Vietnamese community in Hungary, with more than 5,000 people, has earned a high position in the country in various fields, Szatmary Kristof, member of the Hungarian National Assembly has said.

Budapest (VNA) – The Vietnamesecommunity in Hungary, with more than 5,000 people, has earned a high positionin the country in various fields, Szatmary Kristof, member of the HungarianNational Assembly has said.

Kristof, who is also head of the group ofVietnam-friendly parliamentarians, made the remark during a working lunch withVice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)Central Committee Hau A Lenh, on September 20.

Relations between Vietnam and Hungary havethrived and the parliamentary cooperation between the countries has been strengthenedthrough regular exchanges of delegations between their parliamentary committeesand friendship parliamentarians’ groups, Kristof noted. 

Hungary highly valued the Vietnamese community’ssolidarity and law obedience as well as their practical contributions to the hostcountry, he said, pledging that Hungary will support Vietnam in all fields. 

For his part, Lenh affirmed that the visit bythe high-ranking delegation of the VFF Central Committee this time will furthercontribute to the Vietnam-Hungary relations in the time to come. 

Vietnam always treasures the traditionalfriendship and multifaceted cooperation with East Central Europe countries,including Hungary, he stated.

He voiced his hope that Hungary will invest morein fields of Vietnam’s demand such as health, wastewater management,information technology, medicine and food safety.  

He also asked Hungary to create optimalconditions for the Vietnamese community in the country, consolidating thecountries’ friendship.
